Our weekender package is designed for you take on the areas most iconic climbs, including the worlds most popular training climb. Most of the climbs you will enjoy have been featured in the Vuelta and certainly where the pros are training, you may even see a few en-route. The ride pace is to suit the group and there are always the best Spanish café stops too. 

 

We recommend that you arrange an early flight to arrive and arrange a late flight for your return to get 4 days riding.

Overview:

- Climb the world famous Coll de Rates and Sierra de Bernia

- Fully guided by our expert team

- Three Nights stay at the Velo Tours Villa

- Lunch on arrival 

- Half Board - Breakfast & Dinner, drinks included during your evening meal (spirits not included)

- Snacks when returning from your rides including tea & coffee

- Homecooked meals by our in house chef

All of our trips are planned to suit the group, pace, distances can be adapted. Below is an example of our weekender. 

Day 1

Arrival  

  • Arrive at the Velo Tours Villa around noon (subject to flight times) with a light lunch on arrival

  • Check the bikes for fitting and your guide will take you out for a spin in the valley through the orange groves to stretch the legs after your flight, and to ensure your bike set up is suitable for you.

  • Return to the Villa where time is your own for you to relax

  • Evening meal is served around 7:30pm 

Day 2

Climb the Coll de Rates 

  • Take on the Coll de Rates and Sa Creueta. Lunch stop at the famous Velosol Cycling Café 

  • After lunch take a steady ride over the Sierra de Bernia and enjoy the views across to Ibiza

  • Return to the Villa with your evening meal being served around  7:30 pm             

Day 3

Ride through the Val d'Ebo

  • Ride the  Vall d’Ebo, a beautiful route through this wonderful valley, with amazing scenery and some challenging climbs to suit an intermediate rider.

  • Lunch stop in the beautiful town of Pego and then heading back over the mountain to the Xalo Valley

  • Evening meal is served around 7:30pm 

Day 4

Final Challenge

  • ​Last day in the saddle with a coastal ride which usually includes ice-cream! A beautiful route to check out our beautiful coast lines.

  • Ice cream stop in Moraira followed by lunch in Javea.

  • Fancy a challenge then take on the Cumbre del Sol as featured in the Vuelta

  • Return to the Villa to prepare to go home. .

  • Guests usually depart between 6pm – 7pm subject to flight times.
